This course will help frontline workers and managers understand how neurodivergence (such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more) intersects with trauma, mental health, substance use and housing instability—and what they can do to respond more effectively. Key areas:

  • What is neurodiversity? A social vs. medical model approach
  • Lived experience perspectives: how neurodivergent people experience challenges such as substance use dependency, homelessness, and difficulty engaging with services
  • Trauma, sensory needs, and exclusion
  • Recognising signs of neurodivergence in practice
  • Practical adjustments for communication, environment, and support
  • Creating inclusive, trauma-informed services without needing diagnosis

Terms and conditions: Tickets are non-refundable but if you are unable to attend, you can be placed onto a future course as long as this is no later than 48 hours before the start of the course. If you are not booking for yourself, please email us to let us know the name of the delegate: [email protected]

Each attendee will recieve a bespoke course booklet covering all the information from the session and further resources.
