TRAINING

contact us here to book or for more info
Our training vision:
At Risk & Resilience, we believe in the 70:20:10 rule. This is that 70% of training is completed on the job, 20% is through informal learning and only 10% is through formal training. Because only 10% comes from formal training, our aim is to make this as valuable as possible.

How do we achieve this?
At Risk & Resilience, we believe focusing on the formal training only is not effective in the embedding of long term learning. We therefore work with services prior to training and then review these actions with the service  after the training has been delivered via follow up documentation and appropriate reviews. All pre and post work is included in the price.

Please note, training can be delivered in a face-to-face setting or via a digital classroom (using tools such as Zoom).

What tools do we use?

Death by PowerPoint? Not at Risk & Resilience! Although we use PowerPoint, we use it as it should; as a visual aid. We recognise that people have differing learning styles (activist, theorist, pragmatist or reflector) and utilise a variety of materials to embed learning:
  • handouts
  • digital resources
  • online resources
  • interactive games
  • skills practice
  • peer led reviews and support
  • action planning, goal setting and meaningful reviews

We aim to ensure that our learning delivers on the modern and effective blended learning model to ensure effectiveness. Please see our resource for more information on blended learning.
